Freely translated Doda means: Beautiful Character, this is also the starting point of this colourful family. My inspiration for each of these Doda’s comes from a person I know. I look for the beauty of each of those individuals and make a Doda of them. I handsow them, this because I want to show them that everybody deserves time and attention. With each stitch I think of them, how beautiful and special they are.
I want to spread positivism with my art, to change the World and makei t better. It can be seen as naive to think you can influence the world with your art. But if you don’t even try to change it nothing will ever change.
Now I want to take it a step further. I want to make Doda’s of persons I don’t know. To do so I have created an interview to really get to know a person. So everybody can become a part of the Doda family.
